Apartment 1

This is a ground floor apartment with a contemporary feel and comprises:

  • The Hub – is a open Plan Living Space which includes, Free Wi-Fi, Comfortable T.V sofa for relaxing after a hard day in the mountains.

  • A long bench, style dinning sitting area for meals, which looks on to the mountains.

  • There is a well-equipped kitchenette, with fridge, portable cooker, hob and all the eating essentials, pots and pans.

  • Bedroom 1 – With one Double bed, storage area for clothes.

  • Bedroom 2 – With 2 Single beds, storage area for clothes.

  • Both bedrooms have their own access to a spacious private courtyard.

Bathroom is with toilet, sink, Full bath over shower. There is Free WIFI and Free Car Parking can be found on the drive way next to the house.
Check in times are from 3pm until 8.30pm at night.

Apartment 2

This is a first floor apartment which comprises:

  • Living Room area with a wood burning stove.

  • Double glass doors which open out onto a private roof terrace with table and chairs..

  • Open Plan Kitchen with Gas Hob/Oven and Grill. Separate Microwave, Fridge/Freeze with ice making machine.

  • Washing machine and clothes dryer.

  • Breakfast bar and a dining table area which sits 4 guests.

  • Bedroom 1 – With one double bed, storage space for cloth.

  • Bedroom 2 – With 2 Single beds. Both rooms have free Wifi and hair dryers.
    Note – Bedroom 2 is an attic room with steep steps to access.

Check in time is from 3pm until 8.30pm at night.
Free Car Parking can be found on the driveway next to the house.

Eakie’s as it will always be fondly known.

The former owners were Mr & Mrs Mary Eakie. The popular sweet shop in Kinlochleven called “Eakie’s” The sweet shop was a beloved local institution for many years and was well-known for its delicious ice cream, traditional sweets, and friendly service. The local men could also renew their salmon fishing license’s there.

Eakie’s sweet shop was located in the heart of the village and was a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The shop had a welcoming atmosphere and was always busy, especially during the summer months when tourists flocked to the area.

Although the sweet shop has since closed, it holds a special place in the hearts of many who remember the warm hospitality and delicious treats of Mr. Eakie and his family.

Kinlochleven & Surrounding Area

Kinlochleven is a picturesque village located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, Kinlochleven offers visitors an array of outdoor activities and warm hospitality.

We have a tour guide company Rich Mountain Experiences that will enhance your hiking experiences. They are very busy in the tourist season. Especially walk tours on Ben Nevis. You need to book 2 weeks in advance.

Kinlochleven is home to a variety of wildlife, including Stags, (they can be seen glazing beside the house with their young) otters, pine martens, and herons, eagles. Visitors can also spot an abundance of other bird species The surrounding hills and lochs provide the perfect habitat for these animals, making Kinlochleven a great destination for nature enthusiasts.

There is a detailed guest folder / compendium to give you guidance and a wealth of knowledge to get the best out of your surroundings and all Eakie House has to offer.

Kinlochleven is also home to a range of festivals and events throughout the year. The annual Kinlochleven Pre 65 Motor Racing is an age-old tradition, famous in the area.

Other events include the Highland Games, which celebrate traditional Scottish culture and sports. The most famous event is the Sky line Racing and the Ring of Steel Racing, which brings runners to the area from all over the globe. As well as the world-famous West Highland Way Walk. It is a famous long-distance walking route. Kinlochleven is the 2ND to last stop, The Devils Staircase is set to test even the best of hikers… so, they say….
